Martin Luther called the Bible “the cradle” that holds Jesus, the living Word of God. It is a book full of mystery, joy and promise.
The ELCA, our governing body, has begun a new initiative called Book of Faith. Its goal is to get us back into the Bible. The Web site has great resources such as Bible studies and Bible reading guides. There is something for everyone. Follow the link and begin your journey of Bible exploration.

Bible Study at Advent
If you’re interested in attending a Bible study class here at Advent, the following classes are offered. Remember, no previous knowledge of Scripture or Bible study skills are necessary, come as you are able.
Monday Night Bible Study This group meets four times monthly to read and discuss the Gospel lesson for the upcoming Sunday.
- When: 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
- Where: Library
Women's Evening Bible Study
- When: The second and fourth Thursday of each month; 7:30 p.m.
- Where: Library

Grace Groups
Various Grace Groups have Bible Study as their primary focus. Throughout the year there will be opportunities to join a new or existing group.
