Sunday Worship Information
Sunday worship is a traditional service, with communion served at each. Service times for the summer are 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m.

The Season: Pentecost  From the festivals of the first half of the year, we now turn to our relationship to God as God's church, the body of Christ. The color for the season is green, symbolic of growth in faith and commitment to God. The green Sundays are known as "Ordinary Time."

Order of Worship: We use a variety of worship resources at Advent, including the Lutheran Book of Worship and "Prayer, Praise and Peace – A Service of Joy" by our director of music, Tom Williams. Our order of worship for any particular Sunday is described inside that Sunday's bulletin cover. Large Print Editions of the liturgy are available from the ushers' stand, as are headphones for sound amplification.

Holy Communion: All baptized believers are welcome to receive Communion where Christ offers himself for forgiveness and strength. Young children and others who have not yet been prepared for their first Holy Communion are welcome to come to the rail for a blessing.

Advent Rocks: Blue stones, small reminders that Jesus is our rock, are available in the oasis in the narthex. Feel free to take one, either for yourself or to pass along to someone you know who is in need of encouragement.

The Cry Room and Nursery are available for your use. Both rooms have audio from the sanctuary. We are always happy to accept your volunteer assistance in the Nursery.

On Sundays, adult and children's Sunday School classes are offered during the later service.
